Review:
Clint Eastwood is one of the best actors in hollywood in his generation and todays. The way he directed and produced this film is very genius with the drama and crime in todays world. This has a great plot, acting, and music behind it that makes it one of it’s kind in the genre. The only thing I was hoping for in this movie was the action, (I know that Clint Eastwood is old) but I think the drama and thrill makes the movie more better for it’s storyline.
Plot:
A grumpy war veteran, Walt Kowalski, who has just lost his beloved wife Dorothy changes while living by himself and meeting new people in his neighborhood. He meets this boy, Thao (aka Toad), who is a shy, smart, and lonely kid, when he is forced by his cousin gang members to steal his 1972 Gran Torino. Sue, Thao’s sister makes up with Walt and soon becomes friends and it marks Walt’s changes between grumpy to happy. Thao soon works for Walt and some bad things happen between Thao and Sue which makes Walt involve in this situation.
Overall Summary:
The best thing about this movie is that Clint Eastwood is in this and he is better than ever. I was surprise on how well the plot was and how it inflicted into drama and thrill instead of action which makes it a better and interesting movie. I know that most people want to see action but this movie is perhaps the best movie for (great) drama.
